Welcome Parents! The New Mexico Department of Health and New Mexico Public Education Department have collaborated with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to conduct the NM-YRRS in our state for more than 20 years. On this page, you can find information about the upcoming NM-YRRS and get answers to frequently asked questions about the survey.
NM-YRRS is part of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC’s) Youth Risk Behavior Survey. The CDC prepared this informational video to help parents learn more about the survey.
The NM-YRRS is an anonymous, voluntary survey. Students do not have to answer any questions they do not want to answer, and parents may opt their child out. Click the link below to preview the parent opt-out form.
