The NM-YRRS is part of a national effort to learn directly from young people about the issues that affect them, including personal safety, mental health, substance use (drugs, alcohol, and tobacco), sexual health, personal resilience and supportive relationships, On this page, you can find links to resources that support youth health and wellbeing. Kid Power International

Resource for personal safety topics geared toward all audience ages and adapted for different abilities. Topics include relationship safety, bullying prevention, boundary setting, sexual assault prevention, online safety, preventing LGBTQ+ discrimination, and emotional safety. Dedicated to preventing and addressing bullying, this resource provided resources for teens to advocate for themselves and others through advocacy activities, including a student action plan. The American Lung Association is committed to helping educate, intervene, and prevent the use of tobacco and nicotine by the next generation. This is especially important because close to 95 percent of smokers try their first cigarette before the age of 21. With the Federal Drug Administration’s recent announcement about teen vaping reaching epidemic levels, the fight against nicotine and tobacco has become even more vital. The resources can offer you the tools to not only talk to your kids about the dangers of tobacco but to help them quit if they have already become addicted.
